Early Childhood (2.5 - 6 years)


Our Early Childhood Teacher Education Program prepares the Adult Learner for their role as a Montessori guide in a mixed-age classroom (2.5 - 6). The program introduces the fundamentals of Early Childhood Montessori Education in two components:

  • Academic Phase, minimum of 356 academic hours

  • Practicum Phase, minimum of 540 hours

Graduates will earn an Early Childhood credential from the American Montessori Society.

Sat 9am-6pm

Field Training (Practicum)
3 hours every day Mon-Fri for 540 hours

Requirements

  • High School or College Transcript

    • With High School diploma – will receive Associate Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Credential

    • With Bachelor’s degree (Foreign transcripts of university degree must be evaluated by an outside agency to determine their equivalency to a United States degree) – will receive Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Credential

  • Interview

  •  A brief essay (250 word minimum) about your experience with Montessori education and why you wish to take the training
